I'm getting back into Battletech again, after more than a decade, and I was wondering... would the buildable Heroscape terrain work well for Battletech?  Are the individual hex pieces large enough to place a mech mini on?  What kind of terrain is there and how large of a map can you create?  The pieces themselves seem to be the perfect shape, and I thought they might be fun to build maps with.  Thanks for any input that you guys can give me.

It works very well.
The bad news about it is that you need a very large collection of heroscape to make an interesting battletech map.  Blue for water, multiple levels of the same color for hills, woods colors and so on...

I guess it depends on how good you want it to look and how big a map you need.
