I just wanted to post a quick note to the local Magic community to say thanks to everyone for making our Zendikar events successful. We had 32 for the pre-release and 24 for the release events. The 32 number is a big step towards the store advancing to the next tier in the WPN and if that happens it means more special goodies for you all and a bigger allotment of limited product available to the store. Good news for everyone.

I just received notice from the WPN that Valhalla's Gate has now reached the advanced tier. This means higher allocations of limited product and the ability to run events like the Magic game day. |

Can you give some examples of what 'limited product' is?
Also, what exactly is 'Magic Game Day'?

By "limited" product, I mean items that Wizards allocates to stores. For example, certain criteria determines how many From the Vault: Exiled or Slivers (Premium Decks Series) I can order.
The higher your tier (Valhalla's Gate is gold tier -- the highest) and the better your Wizards Play Network standing for organzied play (previously we were Core but we have just moved up to Advanced), the better your allocation.
We have never run a Magic Game Day because they are open only to "advanced" stores and WPN organizers.
From the WPN page, I found this information: At a Worldwide Magic Game Day, players will receive a special promo card, as well as find league play, contests, tournaments, prizes, and learn-to-play demos. The top eight finishers usually receive a different promo card exclusive to the Magic Game Day.
It also means we could potentially run PTQs.
